Oh Meu Deus 100M
Starting in the historic village of Lousã
The route extends across the central mountain range, connecting the Serra da Lousã, Serra do Açor, and Serra da Estrela. It follows forest trails and ancient stone paths, passing through the schist villages of Casal Novo, Talasnal, and Candal, each with its own unique character, narrow streets, and breathtaking viewpoints.
The route climbs to Trevim (1,205 m) before descending to the village of Pena, hidden among quartzite rocks, and continues through the Ceira Valley. In the Serra do Açor, it reaches Fajão, a village surrounded by imposing quartzite rocks, known for its starry skies and cultural heritage. From here, it follows old mining trails to Sobral de São Miguel, the “Heart of Schist,” before heading towards Serra da Estrela.
In Alvoco da Serra, the Vertical Kilometer climb begins, leading to Torre (1,993 m), the highest point in mainland Portugal, before descending through the impressive Loriga Gorge. The final section crosses Valezim and the waterfalls, natural wells, and centuries-old chestnut groves of Lapa dos Dinheiros, ending in Seia, the true heart of this adventure.
A journey through mountains, villages, and living heritage, revealing the essence of Portugal's Central Mountain Range.
