Located in Seia, is a therapeutic community founded in 1981 that welcomes and supports young people and adults with special needs. The goal is to promote healthy social relationships in an environment focused on personal, social and cultural renewal, on therapy, and on caring for the land. We believe in the full potential of each individual, encouraging both independence and interdependence. In this way, every person finds space to grow within the community, while the community itself evolves alongside each of its members.

League of Friends of the Lousã Mountains is a non-profit association based in the schist village of Aigra Nova, in Góis, dedicated to nature conservation and the promotion of the cultural heritage of the Lousã Mountains, in particular its rural, ethnographic, historical, gastronomic and artisanal legacy. It develops projects that combine research, environmental education, preservation of traditions and community development, promoting educational, sporting, tourist and social experiences that bring people and the territory closer together and inspire more sustainable ways of life rooted in the mountain identity.
