OH MEU DEUS by UTMB OPENS REGISTRATIONS FOR THE 2027 EDITION

Following the most remarkable edition, its 1st in the UTMB World Series, featuring 2,200 participants from 62 nationalities,** OH MEU DEUS by UTMB **officially opens registrations for its 2027 edition, which will take place between April 30th and May 2nd in Seia. From the highest mountain in Mainland Portugal, the event will once again showcase the country and region to an international community of athletes and trail running enthusiasts, consolidating its position as one of the major trail running references in the national territory.

With a significant increase in available entries for 2027, Oh Meu Deus by UTMB is expected to attract around 3,000 people to the region, reinforcing its impact as a flagship event on the national and international trail running calendar

The race offers four distances, with each race contributing to the UTMB Index / UTMB Ranking and awarding Running Stones, aiming to captivate different athlete profiles. This diversity not only broadens the target audience but also boosts the participation of national and international runners, increasing the event's appeal and competitiveness.

More than a competition,** OH MEU DEUS by UTMB** stands out as a driver of social, economic, and athletic transformation for the interior of the country. For Paulo Garcia, race director, the goal is to promote the Central Mountain Range (Cordilheira Central) and establish the region as a premier destination for outdoor sports.

“The event has grown, evolving from an amateur structure to a highly professional level, yet the route and concept remain true to our roots: the territory, closeness to the people, and the spirit of community,” emphasizes Paulo Garcia.

The project continues to be built in strong cooperation with local municipalities and regional development partners, alongside Turismo Centro de Portugal, strengthening the Center of Portugal brand and the #MovetoCentro movement to highlight the territory and its authenticity on the international stage.

With the opening of registrations for 2027, another step is taken toward consolidating this event as an ambassador for the region in the international trail running scene.
