OH MEU DEUS 50K
Between glacial valleys and mountain villages.
The 50 km route starts in Loriga, the “Portuguese Switzerland,” following agricultural terraces and the old Roman road to Alvoco da Serra. From there, the challenging climb of the Vertical Kilometer begins, up to Torre (1,993 m), the highest point in mainland Portugal, crossing paths once traveled by transhumant shepherds, before descending through the imposing Loriga Gorge.
The route then continues to Valezim, a village marked by legends and ancestral traditions, crossing vegetable gardens and trails that lead to Lapa dos Dinheiros, with its centuries-old chestnut groves, natural pools, and waterfalls. The end approaches through Senhora do Desterro, culminating in Seia, the heart of the event. A route that combines unique landscapes, cultural heritage, and the authenticity of mountain villages, revealing the soul of Serra da Estrela.
